For Karsyn Andricks, joining the Moweaqua, Illinois Central A&M FFA Chapter was a decision that took little thought.

“I always knew that I wanted to be involved in FFA,” she says, “I have watched so many of my peers—people I really respect and admire—become involved in FFA. So, when it was my turn, I just knew that it was something that I wanted to do.”

As a first year member of the chapter, Karsyn, had the opportunity to attend the Illinois 212° Conference for students in grades 7-10. The conference focuses on the development of the individual student, challenging each person to push the limits of their leadership while focusing on virtues and growth. The opportunity spans two years for every student provides students the chance to develop and build on their past experience with the conference.

“The 212° Conference was one of the best experiences I have ever been a part of,” Karsyn says.

For the 2020-2021 school year, Karsyn plans to challenge herself by running for a chapter office and has plans to become more involved in FFA throughout her high school career.

Currently, Karsyn is a member in the dairy judging team, and competes in local, regional and state-wide contests.

In addition to FFA, Karsyn is also involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Family Community and Career Leaders of American (FCCLA).

Karsyn is the daughter of AGI SureTrack’s V.P. of Sales-Strategic, Brett Andricks.
