We want to share our IntelliFarms' family with you; we want you to get to know us. We are more than just the people behind the technology. Each of us work every day to help farmers bring increased value and profits back to the farms. Enjoy this month's spotlight, Amy King.
Employee: Amy King
Title: Lead Customer Service Representative
Q: How long have you been with IntelliFarms?
A: 1 year and 9 months.
Q: What’s the best thing about your job?
A: Helping the farmers manage their grain and meeting a diverse group of people.
Q: What’s been one of your proudest moments at IntelliFarms?
A: When I was asked to Lead the CSR Team.
Q: Did you grow up on a farm?
Q: If so, what was your favorite chore around the farm?
A: I would not say favorite, it was rough. I would say I loved bottle feeding our Jersey calves more than stacking square hay in the barn though.
Q: If so, what was your least favorite?
A: Getting up at 4am to help milk 400 head of Jerseys and bottle feed calves before school.
Q: When you’re not in the IntelliFarms’ office, where's your favorite place to be?
A: That's a toss up between home with my husband and North Carolina.
Q: Do you have pets?
A: YES!!! I love animals. I have two dogs both are rescues. Teagan is a Rott/Lab mix and is 9. Diego is a German/Chihuahua and is 14.
Q: What’s your favorite line from a movie?
A: “You called down the thunder, well now you’ve got it. Tell 'em the law’s coming. You tell 'em I’m coming, and hell is coming with me.” (Wyatt Earp from Tombstone)
Q: If you could choose anyone as your mentor, who would it be?
A: In all things life... my Grandpa.
Q: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
A: Pay off everything on the family farm.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Q: If you were stuck on an island, what 3 things would you bring?
A: My husband, my fishing pole, and a good book.
Q: What advice would you give to recent new hires?
A: Come in and work hard, don’t get caught up in anything. Act like it's your company and work the way you would run it.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat?
A: Hell's Kitchen in Wilmington, NC - hands down best food ever.
